Brazil bans iPhone sales without chargers
Oct 01, 2022| On Tuesday, the Brazilian government banned the sale of iphones without charging heads, saying Apple had provided incomplete products and services to consumers.
In an order published in Brazil's official gazette, the justice ministry said the iPhone lacked key components and had a "deliberate practice of discriminating against consumers."
Apple's decision to remove the chargers has been met with a lot of displeasure but quiet acceptance. Some users even praised Apple for being green. This time, Brazil's approach let many netizens directly exclaim. Brazil's justice Ministry fined Apple 12.275 million reais ($2.38 million) and ordered the cancellation of sales of the iPhone12 and newer models, as well as a ban on any iPhone model without a charging head.
Next, Apple had to include a charger in order to sell the phone in Brazil, creating a problem for the company. If an iPhone sold in Brazil comes with a charger that doesn't come with one elsewhere, consumers won't like it. So, does this mean apple is sending out chargers again for the iPhone14?
