Before the Israeli election, Trump sent a highland to Netanyahu
Mar 23, 2019| Recently, the interaction between US President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been a bit frequent.
On March 21, local time, Trump wrote on his personal tweet: "52 years have passed, and it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. The highland has great strategic value. And it is extremely important to Israel’s national security and to regional security."
The Golan Heights was originally a narrow strip of southwestern Syria. Israel seized and occupied the Golan Heights in 1967, but the international community does not recognize Israel’s sovereignty over it. However, Trump's tweet overthrew the US policy in the region for decades.
