The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, Apple's flagship mobile workstations, have distinguished themselves in terms of performance and energy efficiency since they were built on the M-series chips. According to Mark Gurman, they are about to get a core upgrade, with the new M2 Pro and M2 Max on the inside, "very likely" to debut before the end of the year.
The Mac Mini will also get an iteration, with M2 and M2 Pro versions expected. In addition, the only Intel version of the Mac Mini on the site may finally be getting a replacement, with an Intel 8 Core version that offers more thunder ports (4 vs. 2). The Intel version of the Mac Mini has been on the market for four years, and you can still buy it in stock on the website -- of course you don't have to.
