According to a report by Japanese website Mac Otakara, the so-called "Apple Watch Pro" will have a 47mm case, much larger than the 41mm and 45mm cases of the Apple Watch Series 7. In addition, reports say the Apple Watch Pro will have a flat display, a design that will improve the Watch's durability, with a possible diagonal size of 1.99 inches.
This is also the biggest design difference between the Pro model and the standard model. The current Apple Watch on the market all uses a micro curved screen. The flat design improves the durability of the Apple Watch Pro. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that the Apple Watch Pro will be a "rugged" model designed for high-impact activities like hiking and extreme sports.
As previously revealed by Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Pro will be priced in a tougher titanium alloy, with enhanced hiking and swimming tracking, longer battery life, an expanded low-power mode, the S8 chip, and more. In addition, the report says Apple is likening the Watch to the iPhone X, the original Apple Watch, and Apple Music -- the final surprise of the event.
