The agency speculated that the global sales of Apple Vision Pro this year will not exceed 500,000 units, and the price of the headset is expected to be released in 2025, the price is only half the current price.

For reference, the price of the current national version of Apple Vision Pro starts at 29,999 yuan, which means that the price of the headset is expected to be about 15,000 yuan.

Previously, the industry said that there are three main factors that lead to the unsatisfactory sales of Apple Vision Pro.

The first is the price problem, the starting price of nearly 30,000 yuan does make many consumers dispel the idea of buying.

The second is the weight and experience, many users feedback that the fuselage is heavier and the battery life is slightly shorter, daily use also needs to replace the external battery, which is relatively troublesome.

Finally, there is the problem of built-in applications, although there are now a number of manufacturers have carried out relevant adaptation tests, but compared to the massive applications supported on other devices, it is far from enough.

From this point of view, if the Apple Vision Pro wants to achieve full popularity, there is still a long way to go.

For the flat price headset device proposed by IDC, there have been Revelations that Apple is carrying out the research and development of this device.

It is reported that the price of the headset code-named N107, will be weight reduction and wear comfort, and performance upgrades, or will be equipped with M4/M5 chip. However, the device needs to be connected to a Mac or iPhone to work, and the FOV perspective is narrower.

At present, it seems that the affordable version of the headset, although some features have been weakened, but the price is also half cheaper, and the built-in chip is expected to be stronger than the current Apple Vision Pro.

Therefore, IDC expects that with the launch of the flat-price headset, its sales will increase significantly, and quarterly sales are expected to exceed 300,000 units.

However, according to the above time node, the fastest price headset will arrive in 2025, so this year's Apple Vision Pro sales may become the biggest problem.

Cook pointed to the Vision Pro's ability to multitask as a way to boost productivity. By supporting multiple Windows in physical space, users can freely switch between different tasks, achieving true multitasking parallelism.

In addition, Cook said that the Vision Pro has more than 5,000 patents, and potential users are encouraged to experience it in person, because "words cannot fully describe this 3D experience, which goes beyond the limitations of 2D presentation."

Although the Apple Vision Pro has done a lot of work to save sluggish sales, the weight, price and application adaptation aspects that consumers are generally concerned about, or will have to wait until the affordable version of the headset can really be solved.
