Oct 07, 2022| Apple may release the iPad and iPad Pro in October. IPad Pro: Change the core, but not the shell
Since Apple introduced the Pro line for the iPad in 2016, it has had a year-and-a-half (roughly 466 days) update cycle.

The iPad Pro, which was updated in April 2021, is 476 days old and has reached the update point, with no surprises coming in September (or later in the fall).
The iPad Pro 2021 features the same M1 chip as the MacBook Pro, increased support for 5G networks, and a miniLED material screen on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
For all intents and purposes, the iPad Pro is a computer in Apple's heart.

This year, Apple introduced a minor upgrade to the M2 chip, which was used in the MacBook Pro 13, and it's no surprise that M2 will also be used in the iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 this year.
As for the rumored 14.1-inch iPad, it won't be updated this year, it could be next year, or in the form of a folding screen in Apple's future product line.
