Apple launches Apple Watch Series 6 repair program to fix black screen issues

Apple today launched a repair program for the Apple Watch Series 6 to address an issue that could cause a small percentage of devices to have a black screen.

The issue affects the 40mm Apple Watch Series 6, and the affected devices were manufactured between April 2021 and September 2021. Apple says Apple Watch Series 6 owners can use the serial number checker on the website to determine if their device is eligible for the repair program.

Devices affected by this issue will be repaired free of charge by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

It is reported that the program covers eligible Apple Watch Series 6 models within two years of the first retail sale.
