Adobe is considering adding AI-drawn images to its paid galleries
Dec 09, 2022| According to Axios, Adobe is considering adding AI-drawn images to its paid gallery. This is the second company to officially charge for AI-generated images, after Shutterstock announced a partnership with Open AI in October.
Unlike Shutterstock, Adobe is offering a more detailed solution to the still-unclear copyright distinctions in AI graphics.
In addition to clearly labeling images as "generated by AI," as other sites do, Adobe also explicitly prohibits contributors from copying other artists' work, which, since it is AI painting, should refer to creating an image that is similar in composition and content to an existing work.
In addition, references to real people, places, and property must not be included in the work without permission, and misleading or ambiguous pictorial depictions must not be used.
As for the unresolved copyright issues surrounding AI creation, Adobe has said that if copyright disputes arise, the authorities will fully cover the losses of the buyers, which is the most straightforward way to protect the interests of the buyers.
