AMD Navi 21 big core exposure: RDNA 2 architecture, RX 5700 XT is twice as large

According to hothardware reports, AMD launched the first Navi 10-based graphics card this summer. It has two models, Radeon RX 5700 and Radeon RX 5700 XT, which use 7nm technology, but still have not reached the same level as Nvidia's flagship. Now, the big core of AMD Navi 21 is exposed, and the core area is twice as large as that of Navi 10.

According to the latest news, Navi 21 GPU is the true successor of Radeon VII. It is the second-generation RDNA architecture and will use 7nm + process. The area of Navi 21 is approximately 505mm2, which is twice as large as Navi 10 (251mm2). In comparison, the Radeon VII GPU core is 331mm2.

It is reported that this GPU will also be equipped with HBM2E memory and support ray tracing, so that it can compete with Nvidia's flagship graphics card.
